*Used* Pinnacle Studio MovieBox Ultimate (710-USB) Video Capture & Editing (PC)

Description

Includes the MovieBox Ultimate video capture device, a USB cable (from MovieBox to computer USB port), a FireWire cable (for miniDV video transfer), an S-video (Hi8 video) cable, an RCA cable (audio, red &white), software and drivers and documentation. Box also contains a “green screen” for home recording. Pinnacle MovieStudio 14 is included on a DVD, which also contains Windows drivers.
Pinnacle has never released a Windows 10 driver for this device: I used a Windows 8.1 laptop for miniDV recording over FireWire and it worked seamlessly. The resulting computer movie files were DVD quality.
HOWEVER, as easily as it transferred miniDV, it was CRAP at Hi8 video; basically unusable. It froze, skipped, dropped, and did not yield any usable transfer for Hi8 mm video tapes. Use this ONLY for miniDV! I purchased an Elgato USB video capture dongle for Hi8 video transfer and that worked great.
DVD that comes with the box has Pinnacle Studio 14 version; worked fine but there are later versions of this video editing software and editing suite on the market.
